Being the state capital of Burgenland province in Austria, Eisenstadt is where you will find main administrative centers. The city of Eisenstadt Austria is located on a plain that leads to the River Wulka, at the southern foot of the Leithagebirge mountain range. Palace Park is among the best known gardens in Eisenstadt that dates back to the 19th century. This park consists of beautiful ponds that make the panorama all the more beautiful. Calvary is a very well-known tourist attraction in the Eisenstadt. Built by the Franciscan lay brother Niering in the year 1701-07 Calvary is an architectural wonder that is one of its own kinds. The steps and hallways will lead you to a mountain made up of rocks and boulders where a tiny church has been set up. In this church you will find beautiful frescos that show the scenes of the Passion of Christ. If you move towards the eastern side of Cavalry you will reach the Chapel of Mercy that displays rare images and is visited by scores of visitors every year. City Hall Gallery exhibits the art works of many local painters and artists. Another interesting tourist attraction of the city is the Haydn Church. Erected during the years 1715 to 1803 under the direction of Prince Paul I, this church is quite a sight. Leinnerhaus Gallery holds both national and international music concerts, theater show, recitals and other similar shows.
